Ubu Chair

Planq

The Ubu Chair’s name is derived from the South African Ubuntu, which stands for humanity, sharing, and sustainability. This Scandinavian-inspired chair stands out by its solid, curved wood, and high-quality connections. The seat and back are made of our self-developed PlanqTextile. This is a material made of textile waste combined with a biodegradable binder, which is compressed into a solid seat. Just one Ubu Chair consists of 7.2 denim jeans. The frame is available in FSC® certified solid oak and walnut wood.

This stackable hospitality chair is ideal to place in a bar, restaurant, canteen, or event. The Ubu Chair comes in various finishes, such as army clothing, suits, coffee bags, and flax. But we also love to create custom-made Ubu Chairs with your old clothing.
