Why Kollab
Kollab draws influences from interior design, furniture, and product design. With experiences and more importantly, influences, gained working and living in Sydney, Melbourne, Cairns and New York, founders Daniel Ault & Janet Kennedy have established Kollab Projects to provide honest kollaborative partnerships to professionals from within the built environment. Having worked for start-ups, established multi-nationals and everything in between, our experience has taught us that the best results always came from kollaboration.
Our Goals
Our goal is to act as a trusted consultant delivering solutions that arise from either our exclusive brand partners or tapping into our vast network of suppliers and manufacturers to fulfil a brief.
Kollab Projects was launched to provide a solutions based approach to the design community with brands and products that were attainable, flexible and above all attractive to workplace, education and lifestyle sectors.
Daniel Ault
Daniel Ault has made furniture his home since 1999, joining the industry as a law school drop out. With the Sydney Olympics in full planning, the industry was a hive of activity and it instantly captivated his un-known interest in beautiful spaces, products and people. Fast forward 20 years, Daniel has held key leadership roles with some of the most forward thinking European furniture manufacturers including a 7 years stint in New York setting up the US offices of a German office furniture company, and more recently with some of Australia’s most significant furniture dealerships.
Janet Kennedy
Janet, originally from Far North Queensland but always dreamt of the big smoke, spent 12 months living and traveling through Italy before returning to Australia where she studied Interior Architecture at UNSW. Following her graduation Janet worked in a Sydney based boutique hospitality design studio, dipped her feet in commercial furniture sales then moving on to large-scale interiors studio in New York. Bringing her creative nous from these experiences, as well as several more recent years in successful product design, Janet provides a well rounded skill set that Kollab Projects can share and support with our clients. Janet’s ability to work to a design scheme, supporting the client to deliver well rounded design solutions is where Janet truly shines.
